Operation Christmas Child 2007

What is Operation Christmas Child?

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This program is orchestrated Samaritan’s Purse and  provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ, God’s greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language. In 2003, over 6.6 million shoe box gifts worldwide and distributed them to children in some 95 countries.

Emmanuel Baptist Church is an active participant in the Operation Christmas Child program, and not only donates shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child, but also is a drop off location for your shoeboxes.  You may bring your shoebox to the church office Monday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm, or bring it with you to church on Sunday.  We will be collecting the shoeboxes until November 22 so please take a moment to make an impact in the life of a child, and pack your shoebox!  For instructions on how to pack you shoebox gift, see:
